MISSION STATEMENT
NISA is dedicated to creating a supportive community for Muslims, fostering academic excellence, and personal growth by instilling values like ambition, gratitude, determination, and generosity. Established to amplify the voices and meet the needs of Muslim women, NISA addresses the interwoven understanding of culture and religion. Providing a safe setting for both men and women to learn their individual and collective responsibilities, we connect members with resources to empower them as active global citizens. Grounded in faith, Allah's mercy, and love, NISA is a welcoming space that inspires and cultivates the dreams of Muslims in both this life (dunya) and the Hereafter (akhirah).
WHAT IS NISA
NISA is a student-led organization that helps Muslim women achieve their goals by creating a space for networking, providing mentors, and fostering valuable relationships within a community that is often overlooked. By doing so, we aim to create greater opportunities for our future peers and cultivate a stronger community. At NISA, we believe in the power of women to empower one another.
WHO ARE THE NISA
NISA literally translates to women in the Arabic language. Women's history spans diverse cultures, religions, and regions over centuries. While their roles and status have varied across societies and time, some common themes and patterns can be identified.
